Country Fields: Bordering The Wetlands

I think that my favorite thing about my hometown is that it is very rural and it is a great place to find many unique landscapes! I live in the middle of the State Game Lands which are a great area for wildlife and plants to thrive. This photo was actually taken at the end of my road where there is a little marsh area bordering these 3 divided fields owned by the Pennsylvania State Game Commission. I pass by this area every day when I leave the house and I have always enjoyed the view. Going by on my walks is so refreshing to hear all of the birdsong of the marshland-dwelling birds during the day and the sound of the crickets and frogs in the evening. What is so great is that most of the land around here is left almost undisturbed by humans and you can just sit back and enjoy the sound of nature undisturbed by the sound of traffic and housing developments. When I was younger and even still today I love just stepping off the back roads and spending the day exploring and finding new and beautiful sights!
